Oh son of Aadam, devote yourself to My worship and I will fill your heart with richness and your hands with provision

On the authority of Mu’qal bin Yasaar- May Allaah be pleased with him- who said: The Messenger of Allaah- Allaah’s Peace and Blessings be upon him- said:

‘Your Lord Blessed and Exalted says: ‘Oh son of Aadam, devote yourself to My worship and I will fill your heart with richness and your hands with provision. Oh son of Aadam do not become distant from me lest I fill your heart with poverty and your hands with burdens.’

Abu Al-Hasan Ali bin Ahmad said:

“Deal with optional acts of worship as if they are obligatory, and acts of disobedience as if they are kufr (disbelief), and your desires as if they are poison, and socializing with the people as if it were fire, and nurturing of your soul as if it were medicine.”
