O Messenger of Allaah! We eat, but do not become satisfied ..

Al-Wahshiyyi ibn Harb radiallaahu ‘anhu related that some of the Companions of Allaah’s Messenger sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said:

O Messenger of Allaah! We eat, but do not become satisfied.

So he said to them: “Perhaps you eat separately?”

So they replied: Yes.

So he said: “Eat your food collectively, mention the Name of Allaah upon it, then there will be blessings for you in it.”[1]

Shaykh Ibn al-’Uthaymeen said:

“This indicates that it is essential to eat collectively from a single plate. So if there are five or ten people, they should eat collectively from a single dish, depending upon the situation. Indeed, doing so is a cause for barakah (blessings) to descend, whilst eating separately is a cause for barakah to depart.”[2]

Every time one wants to give charity, the devil comes ..

Ibn ‘Uthaymin: Every time one wants to give charity, the Devil comes and says that one will become poor if one does it. Thus one becomes stingy. (Ahkam-ul-Qur’an 2/291, afatwa.com)

Stand firm against evil thoughts

Stand firm against evil thoughts, for if you fail to do so, they will become ideas, if you do not, they will become desires, so fight against them. If you do not, they will become a form of determination and intention, if you do not resist, they will become actions, and if you do not follow them up with their opposite, they will become habits that will be hard to quit.

The Inner Reality of the Raafidah Reviling the Companions and their Narrations

Ibn Taymmeeyah (rahimahullaah) answered:

The Raafidah revile the companions and their narrations, but the inner reality of the matter is that they desire revilement of the Messengership (itself).

In another statement, Ibn Taymeeyah (rahimahullaah) said:

For indeed the dispraising of the best of generations, those of whom accompanied the Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) is a dispraise of the Messenger (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam).

If Bid’ah Only Consisted of Lies ..

Imaam Ibn Qayyim (rahimahullaah Ta’aala) said:

If bid’ah only consisted of lies, then it would NOT have been accepted and everybody would even hurry to condemn it and refute it. And if it only consisted of Haqq (truth), then it would not have been a Bid’ah, rather, in agreement with the Sunnah. But it (Bid’ah) consists of both truth and lies in which the truth is clothed with lies.

If Iblees conquers the son of Adam with one of the three…

Fudayl ibn ‘Iyad (rahimahullaah) said:

If Iblees conquers the son of Adam with one of the three [things] he says, ‘I will not seek anything else from him’. (1) being fond of himself, (2) deeming his deeds to be plentiful, and (3) forgetfulness of his sins.
