Allaah’s Messenger (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) asked an Ansaari woman, “What prevented you from performing Hajj with us?” She replied, “We have a camel and the father of so-and-so and his son (i.e. her husband and her son) rode it and left one camel for us to use for irrigation.” He said (to her), “Perform ‘Umra when Ramadaan comes, for ‘Umra in Ramadaan is equal to Hajj (in reward)” or said something similar.

Allaah’s Messenger (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) was presented with two cups, one containing wine and the other containing milk on the night of his Israa (night journey), at Jerusalem. Jibrael (Gabriel) said, “Thanks to Allaah Who guided you to the Fitra (i.e. Islaam); if you had taken the wine, your followers would have gone astray.”

In Whose Hearts there is a Deviation, they Follow “Not entirely clear” Verses of Qur’aan

1705. Narrated ‘Aaisha (radhi Allaahu anha) : Allaah’s Messenger (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) recited the Verse :

“It is He Who has sent down to you [O Muhammad (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam)] the Book (this Qur’aan). In it are Verses that are entirely clear, they are the foundation of the Book, [and those are the Verses of  Al-Ahkaam (commandments etc.), Al-Faraa’id (obligatory duties) and Al-Hudood (legal laws for the punishmentof theives, adulterers etc.)], and others not entirely clear. So as for those in whose hearts there is a deviation (from the Truth), they follow, that which is not entirely clear thereof, seeking Al-Fitnah (polytheism and trials etc.) and seeking for its hidden meanings; but none knows its hidden meanings save Allaah. And those who are firmly grounded in knowledge say : ‘We believe in it; the whole of it (clear and unclear Verses) are from our Lord.’ And none receive admonition except men of understanding.” (V.3:7)

‘Aaisha added : “Then Allaah’s Messenger (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) said, ‘if you see those who follow thereof that is not entirely clear, then they are those whom Allaah has named [(as having deviation (from the Truth)]. So beware of them.’ “

The Picture Makers will be punished on the Day of Resurrection

1366. Narrated ‘Aaisha (radhi Allaahu anha), the mother of the believers :

I bought a cushion with pictures on it. When Allaah’s Messenger (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) saw it, he kept standing at the door and did not enter the house. I noticed signs of disgust on his face, so I said, “O Allaah’s Messenger! I repent to Allaah and His Messenger. (Please let me know) what sin I have done.” Allaah’s Messenger (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) said, “What about this cushion?” I replied, “I bought it for you to sit and recline on.” Allaah’s Messenger (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) said, “The painters (i.e. owners) of  these pictures will be punished on the Day of Resurrection. It will be said to them. ‘Put life in what you have created (i.e. painted).’ ” The Prophet (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) added, “The angels do not enter a house where there are pictures.”

Allaah’s Messenger (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) offered the funeral prayers of the martyrs of Uhud eight years after (their death) as if bidding farewell to the living and the dead, then he ascended the pulpit and said,

“I am your predecessor before you, and I am a witness over you, and your promised place to meet me will be Haud (Al-Kauthar) (on the Day of Resurrection), and I am (now) looking at it from this place of mine. I am not afraid that you will worship other besides Allaah, but I am afraid that wordly life will tempt you and cause you to compete with each other for it.”
