The Person who will be the last to come out of the (Hell) Fire.

117. Narrated ‘Abdullaah bin Mas’ood (radhi Allaahu anhu) : The Prophet (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) said,

“I know the person who will be the last to come out of the (Hell) Fire and the last to enter Paradise. He will be a man who will come out of the (Hell) Fire crawling, and Allaah, will say to him, ‘Go and enter Paradise’. He will go to it, but it will appear to him as if it had been filled, and then he will return and say, ‘O Lord, I have found it full.’ Allaah will say, ‘Go and enter Paradise’. He will go to it, but it will appear to him as if it had been filled, and then he will return and say, ‘O Lord, I have found it full.’ Allaah will say, ‘Go and enter Paradise and you will have what equals the world and ten times as much (or you will have as much as ten times the like of the world).’ On that the man will say, ‘Do you mock at me (or laugh at me) though You are the king?'” I saw Allaah’s Messenger (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) (while saying that) smiling till his premolar teeth were apparent. It is said that, that will be the lowest degree (rank) amongst the people of  Paradise.

Great Reward of looking after Widows, Poor and Orphans

1878. Narrated Aboo Huraira (radhi Allaahu anhu) : The Prophet (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) said,

The one who looks after a widow or a poor person is like a Mujaahid (Muslim fighter) who fights for Allaah’s cause, or like him who performs Salaat (prayer) all the  night and observes Saum (fast) all the day.

Nobody who enters Paradise likes to go back to the world except a Mujaahid

1232. Narrated Anas bin Maalik (radhi Allaahu anhu) : The Prophet (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) said,

Nobody who enters Paradise likes to go back to the world even if he got everything on the earth, except a Mujaahid who wishes to return to the world so that he may be martyred ten times because of the honour and dignity he receives (from Allaah).”

Why would one of you speak of the tricks Satan plays on him

23. Hushaym [ibn Bushayr] narrated to us from abuz-Zubayr from Jaabir (radhi Allaahu anhu) who said,

A man came to the Prophet (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) and said, ‘I dreamt that my head was chopped off.’ The Prophet (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) said, ‘Why would one of you speak of the tricks Satan plays on him [in his sleep]?’

“I am afraid that wordly life will tempt you and cause you to compete with each other for it”

1480. Narrated ‘Uqba bin Aamir (radhi Allaahu anhu) :

Allaah’s Messenger (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) offered the funeral prayers of the martyrs of Uhud eight years after (their death) as if bidding farewell to the living and the dead, then he ascended the pulpit and said,

“I am your predecessor before you, and I am a witness over you, and your promised place to meet me will be Haud (Al-Kauthar) (on the Day of Resurrection), and I am (now) looking at it from this place of mine. I am not afraid that you will worship other besides Allaah, but I am afraid that wordly life will tempt you and cause you to compete with each other for it.”

Allaah has divided mercy into one hundred parts

1750. Narrated Aboo Huraira (radhi Allaahu anhu) : I heard Allaah’s Messenger (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) saying,

Allaah has divided mercy into one hundred parts and He kept ninetynine parts with Him and sent down one part on the earth, and because of that one single part, His creatures are merciful to each other, so that even the mare lifts up its hoof away from its baby animal, lest it should trample on it.

Allaah is pleased with the repentance of His slave

1747. Narrated ‘Abdullaah bin Mas’ood (radhi Allaahu anhu) : Allaah’s Messenger (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) said,

Allaah is more pleased with the repentance of His slave than a man who encamps at a place where his life is in jeopardy, but he has his riding animal carrying his food and water. He then rests his head and sleeps for a short while and wakes to find his riding animal gone. (He starts looking for it) and suffers exhausion from severe heat and thirst or what Allaah wished (him to suffer from). He then says, ‘I will go back to my place.’ He returns and sleeps again, and then (getting up), he raises his head to find his riding animal standing beside him.

Five are martyrs

1247. Narrated Aboo Huraira (radhi Allaahu anhu) : Allaah’s Messenger (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) said,

“While a man was going on a way, he saw a thorny branch and removed it from the way and Allaah (Subhaanahu wata’alaa) became pleased by his action and forgave him for that.”

Then [the Prophet (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam)] said,
“Five are martyrs :
One who dies of plague,
one who dies of an abdominal disease,
one who dies of drowning,
one who is buried alive (and) dies and
one who is killed in Allaah’s cause.”

Great reward of attending the gatherings of knowledge

1405. Narrated Aboo Waaqid Al-Laithee (radhi Allaahu anhu) :

While  Allah’s Messenger (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) was sitting in the mosque with some people, three men came. Two of them came in front of Allaah’s  Messenger (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) and the third went away. The narrator added : The two persons kept on standing before Allaah’s  Messenger (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) for a while and then one of them found a place in the circle and sat there while the other sat behind them (the gathering,) and the third one went away. When Allaah’s  Messenger (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wasallam) finished his preaching, he said,

“Shall I tell you about these three persons? One of them betook himself to Allaah, so Allaah took him into His Grace and Mercy and accommodated him, the second felt shy from Allaah, so Allaah sheltered him in His Merccy (and did not punish him), while the third turned his face from Allaah and went away, so Allaah turned His Face from him (likewise).”
